M&M Ultimate Chocolate Cookies

I wouldn't let the kids eat the mini M&M's because I wanted to bake with them, so the girls asked if they could make the cookies on the back of the bag.

M&M Ultimate Chocolate Cookies

2 stick butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cup (1 bag) mini M&M's

In a large bowl, melt the butter.  Mix in sugars, then add the eggs and vanilla and mix well.  Add in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt then mix until combined.  Stir in M&M's, then refrigerate the dough for an hour.  Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto a cookie sheet.  Bake at 350° for 9 minutes, then set on a rack to cool.

Chocolate Pudding Tarts

This recipe is being written by Leila! I am so excited to write MY first post! Yay! I was bored a few days ago, so I decided to look for something to bake. I settled on some chocolate pudding tarts, and decided to add in some whipped cream as well. I decided to modify this recipe.

Chocolate Pudding Tarts
Tarts
1 1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 stick butter - cold
1 egg yolk
2 tsp heavy cream
1/2 tsp vanilla

Place the flour, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add the egg yolk, cream, and vanilla, and process until the dough gathers itself into a ball. Wrap the dough tightly in plastic wrap, and chill for 1 hour. Separate the dough into 1" balls, place in a lightly greased cupcake pan, and use a small juice glass to press it down until it is about 1/4-1/8" thick all the way around. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes, then cover with foil to avoid burning the edges and bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until done. Let cool, then fill with chocolate pudding (follow box directions) and whipped cream.

Whipped Cream
1 pint whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup powdered sugar

Freeze a metal bowl for 1 hour, then pour cold whipping cream into it. Beat and mix in vanilla and powdered sugar (or more to taste). Beat until stiff peaks form.
